SYF day

Waiting is so long.......
since yesterday, i've been waiting for today to happen, i was so excited that i didnt feel like doing any homework and i was msn chatting.... crap with xingyu and wenqi....

actually this morning when i went to sch, was quite calm just gg thru all e stuff to rmb in my head. u noe at this point of time when everyone is very nrevous, if i tell someone tt im not stressed or anything, NOBODY believes me! everyone says i have e very stressed expression on my face, humph! but yars, to me being stressed means accelerated heartbeat, noisy breathing, cold sweat, limp shaking...but i wasnt...all i was doing is practicing and practicing and PRACTICING, cos i was afraid ill forgot tis and that, or get this and that wrong, not equal to stress... :D

anyways, i only felt real nervous and stressed and excited all rolled into one when everyone is queuing up backstage...the previous sch's trek tek tek was really *ahems* interesting, and from the 2 cams backstage, we were observing how the ppl's movements were rigidly coordinated and exaagerated, we were busy convinciing ourselves that ours is best and we'll be a blast...then when the previous sch ended we were so prepared to chiong out onto stage only to be stopped by the emcee's announcement" .....5 minute break...."..........and so we continue prepping ourselves up, hahas everyone was so shocked went i hit my chest so hard - - - man zhi said alt drum -.-

anyways, when we went on stage smiling, i felt me very bright smile wobbling so i was alternating between closing and opening my mouth to smile....hAHas....and when the music starts all that was runnign thru my head was SMILE! , wat to hit next and a side qn: howcome the MI note labels are diff from ours and must quickly get used to it....

hahas, reverie was really fast and exciting at the end, we did was was thought impossible... eileen told me tt when we went even faster than before( it was alr very fast), the front ppl just cldnt help but gawk(mouth agape) at our amzing feat! HAHAs, wat a pity i missed it!

Zapin was so high that i naturally smiled and bounce to e beat....then came the famous mallet flying incident.phew, luckily i didnt freak out..... actually e first split second that the mallet left my hand, i was STUNT then split second change to pretend calm and stretch over to e bass kolingtang to collect it back...hahas, luckily i didnt lose beat too, cos i came in knowing exactly where i am.....phew......continue smiling..... Zapin ended so perfectly, could feel happiness was in the air.... me and sheila smiled genuinely to each other.......

evaluation:
MI melody kol not bad, nvr jump much...
bass kol not good, man zhi was pissed with it for jumping with the slightest bump...
reverie ending although was so nice, was very diff for me to hit at THAT tempo
mallet flying incident: luckily didnt fly far or hit e floor, i think it will be DAMN COOL if it flew to man zhi and she used HER mallet to fling it back and i manage to catch it back in time for e next note........damn cool la!!!!! hahahas, shux say im crazy.....

THANK YOU for e sumptous middle eastern buffet! this day will be etched in my memory forever...........the really spontaneous playing on e bus ride back to sch, the very impromptu cheer that PEK YAN came up, the walking ard in a circle and playing e songs again... all our craziness.......im glad that i was a part of such a big family....

anyways, if there is an SYF for conductors, ill award a GOLD with HONOURS to dear beloved MR DZUL ... words cant encompass wat i feel, but this shall wait for another entry to elaborate on...gotta go prepare to ELECTS camp tmr!!!! woohoo! so exciting!
